Cecily BROWN

Cecily Brown was born in 1969 in London. She attended the Slade School of Art at the University College of London where she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. Since the early 1990s, she has been living and working in New York. Her first solo exhibition was at Deitch Projects in 1997. Since 1999, Brown has been represented by Gagosian Gallery, where she has had several exhibitions both in London and New York. In Berlin, she is represented by Contemporary Fine Art.  Cecily Brown's paintings, prints, and drawings are in a number of museum collections, including the Tate Gallery, Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, Albright Knox Art Gallery, Whitney Museum of American Art, Museum of Modern Art in Frankfurt, and the Sintra Museu de Arte Moderna in Portugal.
